Thanks for starting the thread Bill. My project [for this winter] was [unfortunately] triggered by the heavy snow a few weeks ago. I went to drop something off at Mom's and noticed that the snow had torn the crap out of the canvas cover on the boat. It split right up the middle, from the center console rail right up to the bow rail. Cost me $100 to have it sewn back up. I guess that's better than paying Mills around $800-900 for a replacement one! I guess I can't complain though because it came with the boat when I purchased it and I think it's the original from 1995-96.
This cold snap reminds me of when my Dad used to work as a Diesel Mechanic at Roadway Express (Thorofare, NJ) during the mid-late 70's (ca. 1975-79). There was no "repair shop", as he worked outside ALL winter. In fact, it was brutally cold; so cold that people were walking out into the middle of the Delaware River in National Park. The river looked like it was filled with miniature icebergs. I recall that the Delaware Bay also froze over in some parts.
